Fishing on Eagle Lake
Eagle Lake has variety of fishing to offer including Walleye, Northern Pike, Muskie, Smallmouth Bass, Lake Trout & Perch. We are located near the West Arm of Eagle Lake, which offers even more diversity with all its bays, channels, islands, weed-lines, reefs and other great structure close to camp.
Walleye Fishing
Walleye fishing at Eagle Lake is fantastic, with both average size and trophy
lunkers taken every day. In early spring (May and June) Walleye action is
hot, to say the least. And, we continue to have good consistent Walleye fishing
throughout July, August and September.
Muskie Fishing
Eagle Lake offers the unique challenge of fishing for these monster trophies.
World record muskie have been caught in Eagle Lake.
Northern Pike
Northern Pike are also plentiful on Eagle Lake and provide some of the best
fishing action next to the Muskie.
Eagle Lake offers an abundance of pike of all different age classes.
Lake Trout
Lake Trout fishing also provides some great action, especially in the spring
and fall when when they inhabit the shallow waters, and are the easiest to
catch. During the summer, Lake Trout fishing can be consistently good when
fished off banks or deep water jigging.
Smallmouth Bass
Smallmouth Bass are plentiful on Eagle Lake, with good average sizes consistently
in the three to five pound class. Bear Trail offers some of the best technical advice on how to get into these awesome fighters. Eagle Lake offers some of the biggest sizes of Smallies, including fish between 17-25 inches.
All the fish species in Eagle Lake make a delicious meal and we'll be happy to
show you how to fix them the best way. And don't be surprised if a few turn out
to be trophy mount quality. All you to do is throw out a line and wait for the action to happen.
